Cool Hey look! They added a coffee bar!

It's about time too. I've been dying for a latte.

I'm afraid we'll have to wait for digital matter synthesisers before we can do more than smell the virtual beans with our mind's nose.

...and I'll have a medium-sized bucket of nice, strong secular coffee. But only if it is brewed from the most expensive Colombian beans, freshly picked and roasted, then lovingly ground on the inner thighs of middle-aged atheist philosophers.

Wouldn't that be a drink of coffee to savour?

Oh, I don't know. I suspect it would be very acidic, and many would find it bitter. The coffeehouse would offer no refills, but there is one benefit: absolutely no aftertaste.

The place isn't very popular, either. We're using coffee to compete with the christian pub down the street, where it's happy hour all day long and they serve triple-distilled grain alcohol, guaranteed to make your brain melt out your ears after a few sips. Where our customers all wake up and start carping about the prices and the service and the decor, theirs just dump the contents of their wallets on the bar and tell the servers to keep 'em coming.

Oh, well. At least our customers can walk out of here on their own two feet, and aren't hallucinating imaginary friends.

...or to put it another way, "wake up, and smell the coffee!"

There were quite a few cookies in the CF Outcasts thread. Maybe we can get some delivered here. Peanut butter, oatmeal, sugar, chocolate chip...
