One of last of the sane,

Now, of course, he'll counter with, "But ... but ... but that was the Old Testament, and when Christ came He changed all that," to which we have but to reply, "Ah, but the first thing Christ did was to say that all the old rules still apply."

Hey, Bonduca, does this mean I can go out and ravish some wives? God says it's ok? Can I, can I? Huh? Huh?

Oddly enough, this loophole requires conversion to Christianity.

Yes, but can anyone really defy God? Is the human will capable of frustrating the will of God? I think we're getting away from the original topic, but it is an interesting issue.

Let me put your mind at ease...there is no way I can even imagine God telling me to do something that is wrong, therefore, I would check myself into the nearest psych-ward if I thought I heard God telling me to do that.

I can easily defy the "will" of something that does not exist.

How do you determine that what your god told you to do was wrong?

Well, perhaps you just need someone to explain it to you, then. It's Sunday, so why not go see your priest.

Bonduca,

Don't you see? It's so obvious.

Whenever Media-1 hears a voice telling him to do something he likes, well then, obviously it's God.

And whenever he hears a voice telling him to do something he doesn't like, it must be an illusion.

It's so obvious, I should think anybody would see that.

Nice try, that, equating a desire with a "god". Laughable, but a nice try.

But anyway, you've just said that you wouldn't do what God said to do in Hosea. Doesn't that make you (gasp) evil?"

</strong>
Yes, I admit it...I really am a sinner. It is easy to keep some of God's commands. But some are rather difficult for me. I need Jesus.

Dear Lord: The gods have been good to me. For the first time in my life, everything is absolutely perfect just the way it is. So here's the deal:

You freeze everything the way it is, and I won't ask for anything more. If that is OK, please give me absolutely no sign. OK, deal. In gratitude, I present you this offering of cookies and milk. If you want me to eat them for you, give me no sign. Thy will be done.
