He would have some interesting piercings to put diamond studs in though.
Oh, well, those underwear needed changing anyway!

Back when I was a Christian and lived in another city, I used to drive by a billboard for a jewelry store. They had some quotation from Jesus on there - I forget the quote. But it amused and infuriated me to think of using Jesus to sell jewelry. Can anyone who has read the gospels really picture Jesus wearing jewelry or advocating that his followers wear and/or sell jewelry? He must be rolling over in his tomb!
Now Ex P. you know Jesus ain't dead. Why I'll bet he's a real good jewery salesman right now!

And I agree with freetothink that Christians are more likely to screw you over than non-Christians. And I also came to realize this when I was a Christian. That went a long ways towards de-converting me.

Hehe, that is a pretty good idea.

Is that a typo or a joke?

Cool

Probably a joke. The jews are heavily into the diamond market. The buyers in Antwerp and New York? Jews mostly.

I'm serious, send me the addresses of some businesses and I'll type up a letter. If I mail them they'll be postmarked "Saint Paul", which would be a nice touch I think.

I was reading this and thought that I would just drop a line into the meaning of the jesus Ichthus
for everyone. http://www.atheists.org/church/fish.html
I have done a bit of research aside from this page and have found that this one sums it up fairly well on its own.

Though the point is well made in the link you noted, it is rather comical to see infidels doing the same thing that those on the Left made fun of conservative Christians for doing about the peace sign, pointing out that it was simply a broken cross and sacrilegious. If it meant peace to peaceniks, why do you bother to object to the fish being used as a symbol for Christ or being Christian?

Nonsense, I for one do not object to this silly fish emblam in itself. I do object to any public symbolic displays of any religious or political viewpoints. I find the "peace sign" a bit ridiculous but at least I know that the person in the car doesn't wish I was in hell. All in all, I wish people would keep their damn ideas about politics, left or right, and religion off their car bumpers and off their advertisements.

I say, go and believe or not believe what you want, but please spare me having to read or look at some dam bumper sticker or silly symbol on your car while I am behind you at a stop sign. Likewise, keep your religion to yourself, if you are trying to sell me something. I don't need to know this about you and find it offensive to have it pushed in my face.

There is no atheist symbol and even if there was one I wouldn't display it. It is no one's friggin' business what I believe or not. I will treat anyone as they treat me and shoving your symbol in my face is treating me poorly. Screw any symbols.

Using one's religion to gain votes is an old tactic, but it is usually done more subtly. It offends me, but I'm not sure how Christians react to such a blatant ploy. I'm also irritated by local newscasters who wear cross necklaces or pins. To me, it would be like a newscaster wearing a political button on the air. Highly inappropriate.
Though I do prefer a good Christian as a representative (though I would have voted for one of my old Poli Sci professors who ran in a different district even though he was a liberal and I think at least agnostic, because I knew him to be a good, honest man), I am rather skeptical and cynical about politicians wearing it on their sleeve through such symbology, though I don't mind their noting as part of a resume for voters that they belong to such and such church.

I'm also rather struck that it bothers you that that newscasters wear such jewelry, it kind of ranks in that self-expression category, or for most, I think, simply jewelry that appeals to them. If one were told to remove a "Darwin walking fish" from their lapel (though personally I think that employers have the right to dictate terms of employment in such positions), I'm sure you guys would be jumping up and down in outrage. Or does it depend on who is exercising their rights?
