Other's? Now I know you're fucking with me. That's cool, baby. I can take it. I'll just curl up in fetal with my tattered old copy of Strunk & White and it'll all be okay.

Nice cop out. I have reality too thanks. God is a reality.
Excellent! Then you should have no difficult understanding that the reality of a child who spends a year slowly losing control of her bodily functions due to a tumor--whilst maintaining the ability to feel pain such as decubitus ulcers [Bed sores.--Ed.]--indicates one of the following:

1. No gods exist.
2. A god exists and he is evil.
3. A god exists and he is incompetent.
4. A god exists and he is irrelevant.
5. Some combination of 3-5.

you remain free to choose, of course, or you can flee, as you have in the past, from the implications of reality.

Off-topic, maybe, but here are some hopefully more accurate statistics than those provided by Magus.

And note, Magus, that what you say is only "true" (though it's really 33% to 20% in favor of Xianity) only if you lump all Xian denoms and groups in with "Christians", including the Roman Catholic Church, which you don't seem to be a big fan of.

Wouldn't that be quite the odd Army of Christ?

I can see it now:

"The Anti-Christ is storming Bethlehem, we need reinforcements!"

"Hurrah, here come the reinforcements!"

"Waitaminnit, they're Roman Catholics, get 'em!"

Cue to intrafraternal fighting and cries of "heretic!" While Bethlehem falls and the Anti-Christ crucifies Christ once again on the Hill of Skulls.

Christ calls out "father, why hast thou forsaken me?" And god calls back "Hey buddy I'm the NT god, the OT god is on vacation."

If there is a god, he hasn't shown himself to me in any way, shape or form. God should know just what it takes to convince me, if he wanted me in the fold.

Don't you mean 'some combination of 2-4'?

So this explains those football players pointing at the sky after a big play (I watched about 5minutes of the Eagles/Bucs game last night and saw three different players do it). I suppose that they're scared that without the nod to god he'll take away their success. Their god certainly is petty running blocks on the football field and playing the supernatural Richard Simmons for middle aged office workers.

I wonder how Lance Armstrong has been so successful without the nod to god. He didn't even need Benny Hinn to help him with his cancer. That'd've been an interesting laying on of hands.

What kills me is that god has the time for that winning touchdown, but the little kids dying of bone cancer get nil....That sucks. People are so damned stupid sometimes it makes my jaw hurt.
