Default Shouldn't you be working on your thesis?

I was wondering how many people (like me) are spending their time here instead of working on their thesis?

My thesis is in math and my house has never been cleaner!

I should be studying for qualifying exams (math), but instead I am here. The hell with work. My room isn't very clean at the moment, but I will get right to it.

OOH! OOH! Pick me, pick me!
Not only should I be working on my thesis (both lit review end of things and data analysis), I have lab reports to be marking as well.

It's not just the thesis, it's the papers I delay in reading and the code that gets written later than it should be.

The earlier you put things off, the more time you have to catch up.

AdamWho,

Ah, a fellow graduate student in Mathematics! I spent a good portion of this semester (which is almost over) writing my thesis, but there is still a lot of polishing to do (which I plan on finishing this summer).

If I may ask, what area of Mathematics is your thesis in? My thesis is in the area of Factorization in Integral Domains

Sincerely,

Goliath

Goliath,
My thesis is on differential filters for image processing I have proposed a new method which everyone will promptly ignore. I am done writting and will defend on 19 May. However, my post count has climbed steeply over the last couple months, in procrastination.

Luckily, I didn't find this place until a few months after I defended. But my apartment was very clean and I was seeing quite a few movies and having an abnormally severe bout of sex in those last few weeks.
