Hi Kat...

The liberal open discussion group is being strongfisted by assholes.

How about a little courtesy? If you have concerns about her decisions, how about you PM her politely, or even, if you don't feel that'll work, PM one of the other mods for the forum to ask for a second opinion?
Seebs,

You are a friend, I respect your opinions, and your words of encouragement have went a long way with me personally...

However, when I apologize and compliment a moderator with a PM, only to receive a threat in return... I don't classify that as their *job*, and as a former fundamentalist, I know it isn't what the Christian faith teaches.

For now, I'll stay out of there until they decide the boundaries.

I realize some are a bit touchy, others like myself are pretty 'thick skinned' offended by very little.

After being threatened, I'm through with taking the first step and sending a 'polite' pm.

Again, my apologies your thread was closed. I'm not going to apologize for me being just me in a thread supposedly created for people like me.

God needs a lawyer to direct certain moderators on how to word their rules ambiguously so they can be applied without question at will to those who are targeted for banishment/harrassment/persecution/execution etc.

And since noone can agree upon the TRUE word of God, I'm sure a lawyer is in high demand to settle that battle as well.

Kass, where did they find the Lord? Was he in jail too?
Just wondering... I've never been able to truly find him either.

He wasn't in jail when I was there... perhaps he was doing community service work at that time.

He wasn't in detox when I was there...

He wasn't in Lebanon when I was there helping dig out our Marines that were blown up by his 'fundamentalist Islamic Holy Warriors'.

Okay, If I evade filing taxes, will I find him? Does that mean the Lord works for the IRS?

Sounds like sarcasm, but there is truth in the above...
I'm tired of seeking something that isn't there..
If he's simply playing hide-n-seek, then fuck it..

Screw you, you self-righteous power hungry, judgemental shitwipes.

I feel much better now.

Nice to meet all of you.

Oh, Seebs, sorry about your thread. That just goes to show the incredible stupidity of certain moderators. Instead of just banning me and smilin, the shut the whole damn thread down, then edit out the arguments I gave 'em.

Assholes.

Now I feel even better.

Thanks for listening.

Not nice. I can't edit it but disregard the personal attacks. I was pissed.

They have a lot of people there who *are* fragile and easily offended... and while I can't speak for the infidels, the Christians, at least, are exhorted to try *not* to offend these people.

Were the innuendoes deeply offensive? Not really. But they *did* violate the sense of the site rules, and the Liberal forum is still "on display" - lots of touchy people just LOOKING for an excuse to try to get it shut down.

So... Just basic common sense would say we shouldn't go out of our way to antagonize people. Similarly, on a board that says "PM people about mod actions", well, at least TRY it before venting so much... *sigh*.

This isn't to say I always agree with them, or that every post they edited is one I would have edited - but I think the degree of complaining here is perhaps disproportionate.

Point taken, and I stand in agreement, after considering the matter.

Gunnaheave:
You'll chase down Lawyer4God and stuff him in your sock drawer just as soon as you rearrange the footnote for a dire wolf and fuck his wife in an ambulance, for which you will pay him two bits.

GOT IT!!

Hahaha. Very good. "No no no. You stay 'ere, and make sure 'e doesn't leave!"

I don't know, but if this clown is representing Him, He's in for some heavy losses. God would be better off retaining a drunken Texas public defender with narcolepsy.

Anyway I'll post a little reply to "Lawyer4God" shortly, which anyone is free to deliver to the ACLU thread, that is if you're not all fucking banned by then.

While I appreciate the spirit of Erwin's changes to the board (I think he really is a nice guy trying to do something good), I don't think the changes are really addressing any problems. Liberal Christianity gives us an opportunity in one sense, but the badgering by the same old folks is the same.

I was warned twice in the space of three days. One was for a post that I got a PM about and intended to change, but the thread had already been closed. I complained to the original mod, (Eldermike) it was passed on to two others (Coastie and Lanikala), and still sits unresolved -- lost somewhere in the shuffle.

The other warning was for starting the "one accord" thread. Gunnysgt posted twice in this thread, then closed it, trashed it, and warned me for starting it. He then sent me a notice to change my sig or be warned again. Meanwhile, I had been corresponding with E-Beth about the sig already.

Bottom line, Outspoken/Louis Booth and his buddy GunnySgt make me sick to my stomach. (That's why I have to take a little wine for it! ) Outspoken gets away with anything. The only think I can figure is that he knows where the body is hidden, so they can't get rid of him. Or maybe he is Erwin's nephew or something. I post something that is questionable and get warned. He posts out and out slander and smiles. *chuckles*

Seebs, I like you. But I finally found something I disagree with you on. I do not believe there can be justification for the double standard. Allowing mods to spread venom (even in non staff posting accounts) does more to harm the "young Christians" than anything a liberal might post.
