I'm not sure [or are you? -- Ed.] Burton Mack's Who Wrote the New Testament? contains an in-depth discussion of the Documentary Hypothesis. Richard E. Friedman's Who Wrote the Bible?, OTOH, might have said information. [Thank you for pointing that out -- Ed.]

BTW, here's the BC&H Recommended Reading & Reference list.

Funny how one can stare at an error and not recognize it.

Mack's book is a good introduction to the NT.

Friedman's is the one for the OT--particularly the Documentary Hyposthesis--J,E,P writers, et cetera.

As for your change in style, you really do not want to offend them [No, you do not.--Ed.] . . . they can . . . do "things. . . ."
