Default Women: A man approaches you...

A man approaches you on the street, he is being filmed by a friend. He says he is making a documentary about asking women out, and wants to know if you would go out with him. What do you think? What would you do?

The man is nicely dressed - average looking man in his 20s. No scary creepy types.

My bf and a friend were pondering doing this for a documentary project and just to see the friend to start asking women out.

I don't like being filmed or being approached by strange men. And I'm much more suspicious of nicely dressed men who want to talk to me than less "presentable" men." Especially if they want to strike up a conversation--as opposed to asking for directions/time. Just because I'm outside doesn't mean I want to be part of anyone's project.

To me, a stranger asking me out on the street being filmed *is* a "scary, creepy type".

What would I do? I would say that I don't want to have anything to do with the project.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for your thoughts, tibac. I hate being on camera myself, so I feel the same way. If someone started coming towards me with a camera, I would immediately just turn and go another way. But I know lots of people aren't as camera-shy as me so that's why I asked.

Yeah, I always cringe when I'm walking somewhere and see a film crew up ahead. I'm not a ham at all. I just want to be left alone most of the time.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but this has already been done before (the movie "20 Dates" being the most "mainstream"). Not that that should discourage you, but just so you know where the "bar" is.
