i found that groundhog day dealt with the moral of this story in a much more imaginative way.

i guess the thing i found annoying with this type of vehicle is the thought that God only manifests Himself to staighten out borish egomaniacs. that and the idea that aholes can so easily be changed is simplistic. lets face it, there are plenty of jerks out there who claim a personnal relationship with God to disprove this method of character improvement.
