Is there any point to this? Why would krishna care if we said his name constantly, were he to exist at all?

virtual-guru, why have you posted the exact same thread twice? That's called 'spam', and it's not a polite thing to do.

I was at a Grateful Dead concert once and there were some Hare Krishnas in the parking lot before the show, chanting and playing guitars. I'm completely unspiritual, but they had a serious groove going. They honestly sounded really good.

virtual-guru, as Corona688 noted, starting the same thread twice is frowned upon on these boards. I have merged the two threads. Please don't do this again.

Hare Krishna!

The fact that you appreciate the chanting of the Maha Mantra means that there is something special to it ,something spiritual.
Georges Harrisson, one day,on his way-by car- from Paris to Lisbonne didn't stop singing it during 17 hrs.

The Hare Krishna Movement is not well appreciated by some because of some bad PR in the past, but so many now have to agree that our lifestyle is to be considered: chaste life-no aids, drugs-free,including alcool, living: no problem this side, no casino or similar: less greed, and no meat eating: no diseases...

The Maha Mantra is sung without faith at the beginning and as it is spiritual, the reaction is that gradually the devotee is drawn to spiritual life as there is no hazardous event in life. So many are pretending on this forum to be happy but they know themselves that they are not,in this stressful modern life. They just fool themselves, sometimes till the last instant of death, but I believe that some will hear my message, and take spiritual life seriously.

Plse visit krishna.com for more infos.

hare krishna!
