Red face Russia has oil, right?

After all the to-do about the Russians selling jamming equipment to the Iraqi's, this would not surprise me one bit. . .

The Russian government did not ignore USAs threats (in the form of certain statements) to punish Russia for arms deliveries. The Russian leadership realizes that the war menace is approaching the country. According to the information from competent military sources, the navy command finished checking the alertness of anti-submarine facilities of naval troops in Kamchatka. Military exercises were conducted in admirals presence. Diesel submarines of the Russian navy performed basic military exercises at sea. The order for battleships to travel to the Indian Ocean and to the Persian Gulf was called off.

Will there be one more "tick" on the Doomsday Clock?

Quote:
Chicago, February 27, 2002: Today, the Board of Directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moves the minute hand of the Doomsday Clock, the symbol of nuclear danger, from nine to seven minutes to midnight, the same setting at which the clock debuted 55 years ago. Since the end of the Cold War in 1991, this is the third time the hand has moved forward.

There is no doubt Russia has been playing possum.

It has been observed.

Russia is still run by Soviets who somehow think that by flipping a switch and calling themselves democratic everyone would lose interest.

Every call is potentially monitored.

The media is totally controlled.

It is still the same old gang of thugs.

How many precision weapons have been utilized in Chechnya?

It is no accident that Saddam is a modern Stalin.

He was only utilized by the U.S. He was groomed by the Soviets.

It was no typo when it was reported that negotiations were underway at one point to give Saddam safe asylum in Russia.

What a shock.

Fortunately, not all of us have been asleep on the bridge.

Oh yes, what a deep moral difference that leaves the USA still wearing a white hat, eh ?
Of course, the USA was only "utilizing" Saddam Hussein when he attacked the Kurds with poison gas and the USA didn't let out a beep, or most of all when he used poison gas against the Iranians, while the USA not only didn't let out one single complaint, but kept on supplying Iraq with military intelligence to use against the Iranians.

But hey, no worries, since the USA was only "utilizing" him, that makes it all OK then, eh ?
