I always liked it when he would just open the door and smack them as they ran by him or when he would pin them to a wall. That show was really cheesy. It started to get tolerable around the 3rd season but then they screwed the whole show up and it got axed. After watching that show I always loved Trans Ams. I wasn't until I saw a rerun of Knight Rider about 10 years later that I realized why I loved Trans Ams so much. That's when I decided to transform mine. Its been going kinda slow until just recently. I expect it to be almost finished by the end of this summer.
If anyone is interested they have a whole web site full of guys that convert their cars into KITT or his evil prototype KARR. Knight Replicas |

I once got into an arguement on the school bus with another kid about whether the General Lee or KITT was the better car.
To me, it was no contest. I mean, come on! KITT not only had a special coating on him that could resist any kind of damage, but he could talk and drive himself. AND he could jump over anything from a flat surface, BY HIMSELF. Can General Lee do that? I think not!! Dirty Dog You know, if General Lee and KITT got into a fight, KITT would win. All he'd have to do is ram the other car a couple of times. General Lee would just sit there. KITT wouldn't have a scratch on him, what with that damage resistant coating and all. Dirty Dog And besides, KITT can do that "whew-whew" sound with the lights. Dirty Dog |

And you have to imagine what would start the battle between KITT and Micheal Knight and The Dukes and their General Lee. You know it would all get started when Micheal Knight puts the moves on Daisy. That guy laid a different chick every show. Sometimes two or three chicks in one show. And you know how hicks feel about their cousins.

I know it's not classic TV, but That 70's Show had a Corvette and I love me some 'Vette.
In any case, I had to vote and I voted for General Lee because of the guy who always entered one into the demo derby... I miss the good ole days of demo derby... |

Actually, the car I would like to have right now is that Tiger convertible they show on Get Smart. That car was 1900 lbs with a Mustang 289 HO engine. My old boss had one. Up to 120, no one could catch him. Beyond that it was real light and dangerous to go any faster. But oh that zero to sixty.

My ultimate garage...
Both the 69 Charger from the Dukes of Hazzard and the Lotus seven...with the 66 Mustang Fastback from Spencer for Hire, the 67 Mustang Fastback from Gone in 60 Seconds, and the 55 Chevy from two lane Blacktop/American Graffiti thrwon in for good measure. Why not take the Alfa from The Graduate as well? yeah, I know some of them are Movie cars and not TV cars, but a guy can dream, right? Bubba |
