What a ridiculous and compelling thread.

I can't help it.

1. I was my parents' first child--I was over ten pounds and breeched, and nope, no C-section. I refuse to apologize to my mom for this, opting instead to taunt her.

2. My cousin put a miner's pick all the way through my foot at my grandparents' farm when I was seven. Exactly a year minus a day later, a different cousin put a pair of pinking sheers through my foot about half an inch from the scar, also at my grandparents' farm.

3. Despite the scars, I have really sexy feet. I can spot foot fetishists in a crowd when I'm wearing sandals because their pupils dilate and they get all swoony, and once, some guy I'd never met actually tried to suck my toes forcibly.

4. I don't like science fiction.

5. I have had a crush on Elvis Costello since about 1977.

6. I love jalapenos so much that just smelling them makes me actually drool sometimes. I have to be very careful to keep my mouth shut when I'm around them.

7. From about the age twelve to about thirty, I looked like I was about 17, and got invited to keggers and followed by security guards everywhere. I recently ordered a beer during 2-for-1 happy hour at a restaurant and was carded, and when the guy came back with two beers, he handed one to my 16 year old son without carding him.
