Had the pleasure of seeing Mo Rocca (Daily Show correspondent) speak at Indiana University yesterday. He talked about his career, what he's done, and some behind the scenes stuff from The Daily Show. Great stuff. Not as good as seeing Kevin Smith awhile back, but still very good.
Someone did ask him about the bow tie. He said he wanted to show off the fact that he knew how to tie one. He also said it was a handy way to distinguish himself from the other other tall, white, skinny, brown-haired males on the show. He showed a bunch of clips of the show, talked about the 2000 election (Indecision 2000), 9/11, bias on the show. He also showed us a clip of him on the O'Reilly Factor, baiting some woman from the National Association of Concerned Women (or something like that). Absolutely classic. If Mo comes to your town, go out of your way to see him. Definitely worth your time. |
