Seems like you might as well sign "Jesus is a prick" on credit card receipts these days. Check this out:

I always check, and people get pissed at me - "You didn't give me my card back!" Yeah, that would be so I can compare your signature to the one on the back, dork.
I also get tons of people who don't write anything in the signature line, "for security." They think that way a thief won't be able to forge their signature on the slip by copying it. Of course, I'm not the greatest criminal mind, but were I a thief, I would just steal the card and sign their name in my regular handwriting, ensuring the slip would match, but they never seem to consider that. I've had several people try to use credit cards of relatives, once or twice when the person didn't even have the same last name. My stupid store lets people by if they have the same last name - I shudder to think what a bitter woman could do to her ex-husband's credit with that policy. A few days ago, a lady wrote a check from an account on which she wasn't listed. She was probably astounded when I actually looked at her driver's license and commented that they didn't match. Management's solution: get a credit card number as well, but accept the check. ![]() |

I almost never sign my own name, started out as a test now its just habit.
I have signed disney characters, names of alcohol. and even fuck you a few times. no one has ever said anything about it. Well, some people I know think that its funny but no clerk has ever said shit. |
