Default You look like a fun bunch....

Hello everyone my name is Kosmo, and I'm an alco... oops, wrong room!

I actually discovered these forums last year while procrastinating instead of preparing for my exams, and now they have become an invaluable part my putting off studying regimen.
I'm 28, from Ann Arbor, Michigan originally, I'm a 2nd-year medical student (yeah, I know that's a bit old, but, sometimes life happens, ya know?) And I consider myself an athiest, I don't have any really interesting 'recovering fundy' stories like some of you; other than being baptized Catholic long ago, I didn't really have a religious upbringing... and I guess it was about the middle of high-school when I realized I didn't believe anymore.
I don't consider myself an agnostic by the textbook definition, I think that the concept of god being inherently unknowable is largely irrelevant, much like the fact that evolution inherently cannot be 100% proven does not throw the validity of the theory itself into question.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I will continue to read these forums avidly, and perhaps now I will offer some opinions of my own.

Smile Welcome to IIDB!

We'd be happy to hear your opinions. And don't worry about being too old to be a 2nd year medical student, it took me 7 years to get a 2 year degree.

Welcome to a fellow newbie. I often wonder how many of us "closet dwellers" are out there reading this forum anonymously.
