There's the statistics. They speak for themselves.
I like that study. During the "under God" controversy I sent that study to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity multiple times.

I don't like the way they ignore the 10-15% who didn't answer. I would like to at least see some follow-up sampling to try to close that gap.

Society would be better off still if everyone believed, practiced and raised their kids as humanists. No God as the middleman, no threats of eternal hellfire for getting out of line or woshipping the wrong deity, no denominational bullshit, just respect and compassion for other human beings simply because they are human beings.

1) Humans are the most vicious species alive.

2) The only reason humanists are alive today, is because of religon.

3) If it wern't for religion, we would have dessimated ourselves when the atomic bomb first came out. lol

As far as prisoners, most while in prison do not actively participate in a religous lifestyle except when its that time of week, month or year that benifits them.

There are some however that do actually believe (in whatever) and maintain the belief on the outside. But this is a very low percentage.

You're right. Religion has done so much to curb violence, reduce bloodshed and promote tolerance throughout history.
