Blazing Saddles ranks up there with the best of the best.
<Jim chugs hard liquor> Bart: A man drink like that, and he don't eat, is going to die. Jim: When? Also noteworthy comedies are A Fish Called Wanda and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. |

Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein Auntie Mame Some Like It Hot A Fish Called Wanda My Man Godfrey Mommie Dearest (perhaps not deliberately, but that movie makes me laugh long and hard...it's so cheesy it's brilliant. )High Spirits (horrible movie, really. But when you have Liam Neeson playing a horny ghost and Jennifer Tilly tempting Peter Gallagher who's planning on becoming a priest all hanging out in an old drafty castle run by a shockingly drunk Peter O'Toole...hey, you gotta give it props.)Philadelphia Story...Jimmy Stewart and Katy Hepburn drunk as hell on champagne...priceless! ![]() And as far as a recent one, I have to give it up to Rat Race. My friends and I are notorious movie snobs and even we were doubled up in laughter during that movie. Not the most high brow of movies...but damn, it was too funny!

I laughed all the way through "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" even though it's horribly un-politically-correct. It reminded me too much of my own quirky Russian Mennonite family...rolled in the aisles all 3 times I got taken to see it.

Most of mine have already been listed, so I'll try to keep it short...
Anything by the Marx Bros., A Night at the Opera and Duck Soup are my favorites. Oh, and I have to admit, Dumb and Dumber still cracks me up every time I watch it. And finally, if you're watching it with the right people, The Faculty can be extremely hilarious in a cheesy way. Jon Stewart as an evil alien-possessed science teacher? The way to beat the aliens is by taking drugs??? You can't beat that for comedic value. |

I don't actually think its the funniest movie ever. But when I was in high school my friends and I would get really drunk and watch Billy Madison. I can't think of any other Sandler movie that I like, but Billy Madison will always be funny to me. Maybe I should get that on dvd....
Edited to add a missing don't |
