You mean the man actor of the year? Each year usually has one.
Leonardo DiCaprio (where's my gun?!), Jeff Daniels, Jeff Bridges, Keanu Reeves, that guy in Twister.

They are in every movie for a year and then go back to normal afterwards.

Actually, the Spice Girls were the first major group of that type, i.e. answer an ad in the paper, turn up to an audition and eventually emerge as a crap pop outfit, release two albums, followed closely by a "best-of" album, then a major defection, leading to a few short-lived solo careers and/or sad appearance on game shows, MTV or its local equivalent or ads for video stores.

Of course, Pop Stars (in NZ) was the first we saw on television (culminating in True Bliss, of course), followed closely by Pop Stars Australia and Bardot. I was highly amused to hear one of the Bardot girls proclaim "I feel like a prostitute!". Bingo.

Anyway, we can't take all the blame!

HR

PS I wasn't actually watching Oz Pop Stars at the time - it was an ad for the upcoming episode.

PPS Honestly!

PPPS I'll never forgive the US for Survivor!

That must be the case; surprisingly enough I manage to skip two years in my memory (my personal dungeons of oblivion...). I had been a member of II-Chat, too, which was in 1997, when postings slowly fell down to nought. Maybe that was because our present-day II-forum was in upsurge at that time.

You might be interested in the next piece of information; these SAtheism pages (South African Atheism Web-site) that I was referring to in last year's message, who were supposedly lost, have been retrieved by a friend of mine (who is also a member of the forum)!

Several months ago he found some six pages on his diskettes. I published them on this newly opened location: http://www.geocities.com/satheism/, but yesterday he managed to find the whole lot of them! If you are interested, you can take a look at the site and I will try to add the 'lost files' to the site as quickly as possible.
So... in a couple of months the whole South African Atheism Web-site will be online again! Hear ye, hear ye...

Regards, Marcel.
