there's still 3 days play left, leaving them 2 days to get 450 is too aggressive in my book, even for Waugh. They should post at least 500. I remember the last series, and I wouldn't want Lara getting any ideas.

I saw the Lara/Waugh incident on TV. He had the Aussies worked up. There are few rumours that Lara's mystery illness from the third test was relating to him being out all hours the night before. Maybe Waugh was asking what clubs Lara had visited?

Australia look in the box seat...if they can sustain the start. MacGill may have the final say in this series. Good to see some fight though from the Windies over the first two days.

The West Indies need 418 to win and are 0/47 with two days left. The record fourth innings winning score is 406, by Bradmans Invincibles in 1948, if I have my history correct.

This should be an interesting finale.

Indeed. There should be a Lara Cam to see if he is out clubbing at the moment. That may indicate how things go tonight.

Wow! Windies need 47 runs to make history. Australia need 4 wickets to make history!

I'll be up late night. What an ending to the game.

I'll stick my neck out ever so slightly and say that the Windies will not blow it from here. Australia will have to take 3 very quick wickets if they are to win - and Chanderpaul has to be one of those wickets.

BigBlue2 was on the money. Even though when Chanderpaul fell I thought it was one for the Aussies.

Congrats to the Windies for surpassing the record for a 2nd innings chase. It is a big achievement in cricket. They played well and held their cool when they needed it the most.

And now for a series of boring, irrelevant, way too many series of one day games.

Too bad my Melbourne Cup tips aren't like that .

Congrats to the Windies from me as well. It was a victory they sorely needed and should boost their self-confidence into the stratosphere. It was also good to see batsmen like Sarwan and Chanderpaul putting their hand up, instead of relying on Brian Lara to do the job all by himself. Hopefully the Test will be remembered for the West Indies achievement, and not the acrimony that occured between the two teams.

I think it will be remembered as a great achievement. The records books deal solely in figures and not the details of who said what to who. This series was not as epic as the one back in India that broke Australia's winning run but it will be remembered well for Australia's continued overall dominance, some very fine batting performances from both sides and of course the 4th test.
