Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I said I wasn't going to discuss Hitler anymore on this forum. Pardon my obsessive one track mind, if you will.
I have to comment about this film. What a gross distortion it was. Absolutely sickening. How can they lob this crap off on us and call it history? Even any serious conformist historian would laugh if you called that miniseries historically accurate. Ian Kershaw, the one whose book supposedly inspired the film, didn't want to touch the project with a ten foot pole. Our Fhrer was very much the opposite of the film's distorted portrayal of Him. He was never a 'fanatic', but a sharp, clear-headed realist. That Germanic tendency to metaphysical flights of fantasy never afflicted Him. If one reads Mein Kampf, or the 'Second Book', or 'Hitler's Table Talk', or His 'Last Will and Testament', then one finds that this assertion of mine is ably demonstrated. Hitler reveals Himself as a man of Clarity. He was though, a man with a great affinity for the arts, as well as being an exquisite draughtsman Himself. As Leader He was a superb patron of the arts. However, 'The Jews and their lies '(to quote another German reformer, Martin Luther), have tried to portray Our Wolf as 'insane', 'delusional' and as a so-called 'house painter'! After the Ragnarok of 1945 these same liars even stole and destroyed great works of high art from Das Dritte Reich. However, the lies and crimes of these people are written in the annals of truth. Heil Hitler! o/ o/ o/ |

Er...Mark...Had Hitler been sane, the Germans would have won WWII. Twas his constant interference in the generalship that caused disaster after disaster; had he let his generals be the generals, the German war machine would likely have been unstoppable.

Mmm...let's see if I can get this to sound right...
BWAH HA HA HA HA!!!! I've written my fair share of comedic material, but Mark, you take the cake. That is some really, really funny shit. Ever think about doing stand up? You could do a whole Hitler-themed routine! Wear a brown shirt, shout and salute a lot, and play up the "is he SERIOUS?" card. Oh, boy...you crack me up! |

Tertiary Syphilis tends to have a nasty effect on one's Clarity. Why don't you go back to mutilating yourself with your Hitler Youth knife? Leave us normals alone. |

I would appreciate a private message if my entries are editied with regard to Nazis. I lost 1/3 of my family in the Holocaust, and I'm a little sensitive about it.

Regardless of his personal skill at drawing, his total inability to engage with 20th Century or "modern" art demonstrates that he was something of a philistine. At the time, European art was vibrant and experimental, with massive leaps being taken in terms of representation and composition; yet Hitler preferred infantile depictions of idyllic countryside scenes and idealised human figures in stilted and formal poses. I'm sure that if he was around today, he would be the kind of person who collects Boris Vallejo coffee-table books and Mona Lisa posters. That has zero bearing on the issue of his syphilitic instability or murderous and half-baked racial theories. Quote:
