If anyone ever watched babylon 5, do you remeber g'kars 'ant' speech?

basically, maybe they couldn't give a flying #$^% as to whether we see them or not? maybe they're not even studying us, they just have some need to be in a location, and when that's fullfilled, they bugger off again.

Just cos we think we're neat doesn't mean they think so too... they probably mock our digital watches too.

First of all, no matter what on this planet they are studying they would also have to study humans because humans have a profound effect on the entire planet.

Secondly, if you accept that all these UFO stories are true, then they always appear before people or abduct people or whatever. Therefore, they would have some sort of interest in us if they existed or they wouldn't keep doing that.

Thirdly, if they don't care about us, why are they so secretive? This is my fundamental problem with aliens visiting us... more than the implausibility of interstellar travel, more than no hard evidence, this basic conundrum makes me seriously doubt that there are any little green men flying around in the sky.

Call it Arken's Alien Assumption:

If there are UFOs like the believers suggest, they are acting in a secretive manner. If they're acting in a secretive manner, they're doing it so badly that it's difficult to accept that they have the technology to travel across deep space.

Sorry, I had to throw a bad joke in.

I don't rule out aliens might be aware of us and maybe visit, but I do not and never will believe they're sneaking down here to grab people and experiment on them, or whatever.
And if they had the technology to get all the way here, I'd have to think they wouldn't be too worried about our defenses if they did want to invade.
