now now, people.....haven't we learned by now that fundamentalists cannot understand simple concepts like logic, science, or common sense? asking a fundie to comprehend evolutionary science is like expecting a dog to learn to speak six or seven dead languages. it ain't gonna happen.

Of everything this guy said, that line is the best part. If there is one thing that will make someone agree with you, it is telling them that they don't have the free will to agree with you.

THIS IS RICH!!!!!

I'm glad someone identified the snapperhead. I thought right from the beginning that it had the unmistakable influence of Mr. Lee. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?
As a fan of Recreational Kristianity {TM}, I get a hearty chuckle from stuff like this. When the pessimist side of me forces me to ponder the fact that there are millions of living, breathing and...gulp BREEDING human beings out there who buy this shit...well, it's time for the ol' HQB to partake in some ol' THC.

On the other hand, it's great when you can mine a Christian "Apolegetic" Site for quotes that you can actually use against other Christians. When they protest, simply remind them that You got this point not from some Godless Heathen, but from a fellow True Believer. And so, it is with great joy, that I point out this diamond in the rough, which should end forever the "free will defense" used with such stunning regularity by Christians desperate to make their Invisible Sky Daddy and his son, Cheezus, seem somewhat less sadistic.

QUOTE:
" There is no such thing as free will....God has decreed all the bad actions heathens make. Thus heathens go to hell because God doesn't love them, and they accumulate more wrath for themselves from God for each and every personal sin they make."

This is why I've always had the most respect for Calvinist/Predestinationists {the integrity of their beliefs, not as people!}. They'll actually agree with the skeptic's view of the Christians' God and say, in effect, "Yeah yer right, well, what'er you gonna do about it, sinner?" They represent Christianity, stripped of all sugary lovey dovey crap, and returned to its original state. True, even they don't usually follow EVERY part of the Bible, but I'd bet they follow a hell of a lot more of it than 95% of the sappy "Jesus is love" crowd.
Just my 1 dollar's {Jamaican} worth.
Respect,
The Legendary HQB, Esq.
{Edited to note that I just realised that Garbles 18 already posted part of their "no free will" statement. Still a good point, though}

I suspect that very few atheists feel animosity towards all Christians. OTOH, I think that many atheists show animosity towards Christianity. I certainly do.

You know I was at the library when I read this and I laughed out loud for how stupid yet hilarious it was. I guess ignorance is bliss. What I liked was the CAPS that REINFORCED how RIGHT he was!
