I will and do suffer, because I was born into a cursed and fallen world where all living things suffer. I, too, have rebelled against God and accept the pain that does and will continue to fall upon me.
God doesn't despise bad children. He depises the arrogant and self-serving ones. [ May 24, 2002: Message edited by: St. Robert ]</p> |

St. Robert, could you point me to the passage of scripture where God and/or Satan created heat waves. I think you'll find it right next to the one explaining malaria, hurricanes, AIDS, earthquakes, tuberculosis, tornadoes, cholera, lice, tapeworms, mosquitoes, and cystic fibrosis. Exactly how did the sin of Adam and Eve cause all these things? And why are we cursed (including babies and the unborn) for their sin? Please give book, chapter and verse. Thanks! |

Our differences are based on who we blame. You blame God. I blame man.
Genesis 3, Leviticus 26:3-4, Ezekiel 33:11. The serpent seeks to destroy, not God. |

But here's the thing, and there's really no way around it: For someone to punish People A-F, for what G did, isn't right, no matter who the punisher is. People A-F deserve no punishment for simply being on the same earth, or beaing the same species as G. You think that god is justified to do anything that he likes, yet you would not apply the same leeway to anyone on earth. And I know you're going to say that no one can question god because he is our creator (for which you haven't an iota of proof), ladi dadi da, and for that, I simply state, I feel sorry for you. I really do. |

Why don't you come back to the light? (Things like that) I'm just curious because I try and read all of your posts, especially those in which you ask theists to give you specific quotes or references in the bible, and what I find is that they cannot make heads and tails of it. It has been my experience that when I ask theists quetions (like the one you raised above), and they can't answer either way, they simply ask me why I can't join the good side. I assume you get it more than anyone here, considering your screen name. Just one more Q. What made you a non-theist? Just curious. Have a good day Stockton |

Hey, did you guys hear that about 350,000 people have died in India since this thread started?
About 0.3% were from a heat wave. |
