Get netscape 7. It's based on mozilla's code. (Or mozilla's based on it. It gets confusing....)

Netscape 4 = Major suckage.

Netscape 7 = Ok they got it right again.

It's hard to explain...

Let's say I'm looking at a page here at the iidb...if I want to go back to the previous page, in most browsers, I would push the back button on the browser, right?

With opera...you can preform really awesome functions just by which way you move the mouse. So if I want to go back, I would hold the right mouse button down, and move the mouse to the left...and the browser takes me back a page. If I want to go foward, I hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse to the right. If I want to open a new browser window, I hold right button down, move mouse straight down. There are these functions and so much more with mouse gestures.

The folks over at Mozilla created the Gecko engine, which Netscape used in the designing of their new browser.

Or you could just use a five button scroll-mouse...

Bleh.

I can't believe people ever used the three button mice. I'm guessing it was one of those "well it seemed like a good idea at the time".

Heh.

How do you stop the messenger service things? The apartment complex network I'm on is riddled with them. It's horrible. Isn't there some sort of system setting I can turn off in windows?

I just got Opera and I'm loving it. Unfortunately, the free version comes with a banner in the corner. This isn't a huge problem, thougth, since after learning the mouse gestures I just stay in full screen mode the whole time. Thanks to all who recomended it!
