Now that I live somewhere where there are significant minorities who speak French or German, I had to learn Spanish so I could swear in polite company.

But I do favour the French-Canadian profanity. It's all blasphemous and you can really put a good lungful into stringing them together when you're really mad.

French and French-Canadian cultures are funny. I remember being told "arrete de faire le con" by my grade school teachers, which translates as "stop acting like a cunt". Apparently that's not obscene.
