If you are willing to step outside the world of biology and into astronomy, the universe as we know it would be amazingly different.

You could take just about everything we know about astronomy and throw it out entirely.

Every single galaxy everywhere would be invisible. Every globular cluster would be gone, and the Milky Way itself would disappear from the sky. We would have no concept of stellar evolution, supernovas, or black holes.

Depending on how exactly you read things, the first rocket to the moon would have crashed into a huge glass sphere, possibly breaking it open and flooding the earth with water. Every single space probe we have launched to the planets would have failed as well.
