What really strikes me as sad is that they left the "nonbeliever" display case empty. It would have been a great place to post what I consider humanism's ONE commandment: Think.

IMHO, that should be posted in every courthouse, post office, school, outhouse, etc. etc. etc. In the south, it would have to say "Ya'll Think." (I love "ya'll," so I say that lovingly.)

Actually, that was George Bush, Sr who said that, not Shrubya.

It's still idiotic though.

Wasn't that the Jr. who did that?

The quote is from George Bush Sr. and dates from 1987... if I remember correctly, the person who asked the question was either with AA or a reporter who was asked by AA to ask Bush Sr.'s stance on unbelievers.

Edit: close... tracked it down and the quote is from 1988 and was to a reporter.

George W. Bush (the current one!) has actually said <a href="http://www.positiveatheism.org/hist/quotes/bushcoolframe.htm" target="_blank">several nice things about unbelievers</a>. But actions speak louder than...

Thank's for the link. I was already familiar with this but reading it again in it's entirety really pissed me off. I served in Saudi Arabia in the Gulf War under this putz.

I'm not so livid over the fact that Bush Sr. disagreed with us on this. People will always disagree. What really pisses me off is that he and his administration had the temerity to completely ignore us - as if we had no rights, value or significance at all.

You can bet that Bush Lite has the same attitude. But we've made some progess since 1987. We're harder to ignore now. That's the only reason he was more tactful than his bigoted dad. Let's continue to show our representatives that they dare not ignore us.

You stuck the apostrophe in the wrong spot. Should be "y'all." Contraction for "you all." Sheesh, don't y'all northern folks know nothin'?
