Pain during sex can be pleasurable, but it depends on the context. If I perceive it to be animalistic (biting, scratching, etc), then it can definately enhance the experience. If its violent and dominating/demanding (pulling hair, twisting arm, vocal orders, etc), then its basically an instant turn-off for me. Also the amount of pain that I can take as pleasurable is directly related to my level of sexual arousal. In other words the closer I am to orgasming, the more pain I can handle without it becoming distracting.

Overall its not a fetish of mine, I don't feel like sex is lacking without pain.

As for enjoying pain not in a sexual context, getting a tattoo is something I found to be quite pleasant. The process is half the reason I want to get more.
