Tron,
Communication is communication regardless of whether it is between humans, between dogs or between dogs and humans. It simply has levels of complexity. These levels are determined, of course, by brain development, by which senses predominate, by social and other environmental experiences, etc. Does a falconer in any way communicate with his falcon? On the level of human communication, what allows me to understand the meaning of my dogs growl other than the dog's behavior? Dogs have numerous sounds, which convey numerous intentions. If you are around a dog enough, you will come to understand what the dog is trying to communicate to you by the sounds. What enable me to translate "dog words" into human words? Ierrellus PAX |
