G.S.H.

If things keep going the way they're going in this country I'm leaving and moving to Europe...

That's exactly what these anti-democratic, anti-constitutional, anti-pluralistic people would dearly love to see happen. Either the principles engendered in our current Constitution are worth fighting and dying for or they aren't. To run away would indicate that they aren't. Sorry! Too many Americans have already shed their blood and sacrificed their lives in defense of those principles for me to do any less.

The problem is that too many current Americans have no accurate idea what those principles really are. They aren't a piece of colored cloth. They aren't even a browning piece of paper under glass. They certainly can't be found in a two thousand year old book of goat herder, campfire, tales...though that seems to be what the Master Manipulators have been able to merchandise to those Americans who have actually gotten off their lazy, scared and poorly informed asses and voted.

This is absolutely pathetic. Screw Bush and his imaginary god.

We need to get some of the more rational religious groups on our side in opposing this sort of rubbish. I'm sure that there are many people around who would sympathize with us.

Unhappy

I am so unhappy right now...

I can't understand where these fools get we are a nation directed by the Christian God. It's only obvious they don't mean a common deity among the people, such as a "Creator."

What, did these fools ever take an American history class? Or am I just a biased observer?

Well it's a free country. You can stay here and fight a losing battle against religionists who aren't going to change. Hell, if it was just the fundies you had to worry about it would be one thing but even the nominal Xtians go right along with the program. I have better things to do and Europe is in many ways superior to this country (and certainly more secular and less uptight). So to each his own.

And there's no way I would ever "die for the principles engendered in the Constitution." That is really not worth it. What good would that do me? Leave the martyrdom to the Xtians who think they're going to live forever in heaven. Death, like diamonds, is forever.

Well it's a free country.

Yes it is! However it wouldn't be if everyone felt the way you do. I wonder if you even understand what Nov.11th is all about.

I have lived in Europe. Have you?

I just got out of a fight with my girlfriend (that I admittedly brought on myself), so permit me to be a little caustic and cynical:

And after we leave, and theocracy subsumes the fifty states, where will you go when they invade Europe to liberate it from satanic Papistry? Or do you think they wear themselves out liberating the billion souls of China from godless Maoism?

No real offense intended, GSH.
Peace, out.
