The best biography of Darwin is Desmond and Moore’s Darwin.

One of these days I’ll have to get around to reading it ('stead of just dipping in)!

Janet Browne's Charles Darwin Voyaging is also excellent, but it is volume one in anticipated complete biography from her.

Cheers.

The center of earth-shaking controversy? Why, it's the mutt himself, being protected by his alpha, who was apparently on a moratorium from ARN:

I am SHOCKED! Rick Pierson (DNAunion) is in a personal grudge match with yet ANOTHER poster?

And it is ALWAYS the other guy, too...

You woulod have thought that the ARN 'moderators' would have got the hint after Ricky got into it with me... and Jesse... and Wolf... and JP... and ........

But wait - he is one of them! An anti-abiogenes creationist!

Gotta keep em around at all costs!

What bullshit.
If he has a computer, he has access...
Of course, maybe that explains why he tends to ignore requests for documentation supportive of his claims at HIS discussion board:

Actually, it pays to have DNAUnion around at ARN. For one thing, it keeps the moderation there honest, just because DNAU is the troll from which to judge all others. Whenever the Christian coalition there tries to build their case against any IDC, DNA's trolldom makes it look hypocritical. In fact, check out his recent spat with a Moderator.

DNAunion: Did anyone bother reading through the thread at ARN - the one the moderator shut down - from beginning to end? Despite Aahz's continual aggression, I did not retaliate. When I finally had enough - when it was clear he was not even trying to listen but continued to purposely stuff words into my mouth - I asked the moderators to keep an eye on Aahz's actions since he was clearly not trying to have a discussion, but to provoke me.

Throughout all the time Aahz was misbehaving, no moderators stepped in. The second I "complained", boom!, the thread was closed and the moderator implied that I was at fault.

What about here? Did anyone bother to read the (probably) 25 posts I have made at infidels in the last 2 weeks or so? I have been a good boy.

Shoot, Scientaie even tried very hard to provoke me into "losing it" a good half dozen times here: he failed.

Rick-Be a good little boy then and provide some sort of evidence for ID. Whining won't win you any converts.

DNAunion: Bubba, I am not technically an IDist. I am a skeptic, and so suspend judgment. I don't see enough evidence to reject ID. Creationism, yes...ID, no.

DNAunion: Then you'd better get over there and make sure they don't ban me!!! I'm not letting that incompetent AM3 get out of it that easy: he can't shut me up by closing my threads.
