Default Cheney and the never ending war on Terror

If anything Terrifies me, it is this kind of bullshit.

Quote:
WEST POINT, N.Y. (Reuters) - The United States will not pursue deterrence or containment policies in its so-called war on terrorism but would instead seek to utterly destroy its enemies, Vice President Dick Cheney said on Saturday.
In a speech to the 2003 graduating class of the U.S. Military Academy, Cheney also warned that the United States remained willing to use its military might against any nation supporting terrorists.
.
.
.
"With such an enemy, no peace treaty is possible, no policy of containment or deterrent will prove effective -- the only way to deal with this threat is to destroy it completely and utterly, and President Bush is absolutely determined to do just that."
from http://news.lycos.com/news/story.asp...storyId=736550

Have they even wondered WHY so many want to kill Americans?

What do you all think?

Fortunately, Australia was one of the "Coalition of the Willing", so they are probably safe for now... But don't get on Bushes bad side!

Phrase that needs to be banned: "Weapons of Mass Destruction"
(especially the Bush slurred pronunciation <-- sp)

Considering certain realities about these rabid psychotics who want to harm us, whether we deserved their hate in some way or not, I'd have to say he is right.

It's quite apparent a rather dedicated force of non governed people are out to do us harm or die trying. If they are sponsored by people in our own Govt or the Saudi Royal family remains to be seen but no matter who helps them out its obvious they want us dead and will partner with anyone to get it done.

Do you think a new president will make them go away? Something tells me that won't stop them either.

Whether US corporate driven foreign policy started this problem or crazy islamic imans stirred it up I don't think it will stop until one side is no longer able to bleed.

How that is to be done is a much bigger and more debatable question but I want these asshole psycho religious fanatics to leave this planet one way or another ASAP. GD right wing terrorists like Eric Rudolf included.

The only thing worth dying for is freedom.
(can't remember whose quote that is from)

Name a terrorist attack that has occured against US civilians since Sept 11, 2001.

If the money for a war in Iraq was put into something else, say medicine or food, it could save millions of lives.

Not only that, but people who are grateful to the US are much, much less likely to sponsor terrorists.

Some might argue the sniper was a terrorist. Other than that, there have been several attacks against Americans, just not on this soil.

But I wasn't for Iraq's latest invasion.

Absolutely. But what is done is done and while we can tallk about all the bad decisions made by short sighted politicians, these particular SOB's want us and all Israeli's dead.

Until we get rid of them nothing we do in the ME will seem genuine to anyone from there.
