Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I thought American Pie 1 and 2 were hilarious.

Supertroopers was funny as shit.. nothing better than cops driving drunk...

Almost all of the previously mentioned movies were funny as hell (my parents introduced me to Airplane, et. all from before I was born). But..

...My #1 selection is totally retarded and shameful..

...the funniest movie I ever saw was Dumb & Dumber. Ban me from this forum... now.

"Samsonite! I was way off!"

Gets me every time. <yoda>Pathetic, I am</yoda>

I agree with most of what's been said already, especially Dumb and Dumber.

But am I the only person who thinks Mel Brooks is just plain not funny. Even the supposed "classics" like Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles had me bored out of my mind half way through.

And as if this post wasn't going to piss people off enough already, does anyone really think that Woody Allen is amusing?

I don't. I've always found his movies to be boring.

Nothing to be ashamed of. They're quite hilarious too.

If by 'funny' you mean stupid and crude, yes, it was 'funny'.

To me funny is Marx Bros., Mel Brooks, and Zucker Bros. movies.

The Wayans Bros. have a lot of good stuff out, like 'Don't me a menace while drinkin your juice in da hood' which is great if you've seen a lot of the parody sources.

I think Mel Brooks just throws out (up?) as many jokes as possible and hopes that some of them hit. In any given Brooks, a couple of them will; otherwise, I don't thinkg he's funny.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut was brilliant if only for its musical numbers. It went too far for me in a couple of spots, but I loved it.

I've never cared for his comedies. I tend to find them rather boring. I don't think he does comedy well. But I do really like some of his serious movies, such as Crimes and Misdemeanors and Hannah and her Sisters.
