Otherwise, BBT, you could pick a date that you'll be in town, and artgirl & I could host the party at our place.

Bzzz--The majority of out gatherings have in fact not been in homes. We typically meet at at pub or eating establishment and then play it by ear afterwards. I spend most of my time informing people about the event and the when and where to meet. Then I simply try to show up early to reserve a big enough spot, depending on my head count. It always works out well.

I'm all for making this the "Michael finally gets off his fat ass and makes the drive up from Santa Fe to attend one of these things" event, if there are no objections to having a non-Coloradan there.

No objections at all! Let's see, at formerl "denver/boulder" gatherings, we've had Alabama residents, a Canadian and a guy from the Ukraine! Anyone is welcome!

Giorgia - I would love to get information about those groups who do community service if you don't mind. Just let me know at the Family Man gathering, or if you can't attend that - could you email it to me or post it here? I don't have a ton of free time, but I would love to get more involved in local atheist activism stuff. Thanks a bunch!

I'd just about given up on your "fat ass". Hey, my earlier offer still stands if you need a place to crash for the night. Of course if its a Boulder gathering, you may want to hit someone else up, or just party all night like Scigirl. She's a wild woman.

Hi, Sci!

I'm afraid I "burried" most of the contact names I had for the service-oriented group -- one of the two leaders is a GA pilot and I'm not enough of a hypocrite to hang out with him for any reason.

However, if you have a way of logging into the Daily Camera's archives, you could go back to Dec '01/Jan'02: I know there were several articles about this group forming. Another alternative would be to talk with the room-scheduling clerk at the main Boulder Library: the group meets there, so the clerk should have the date of their next meeting and/or contact information.

PS TO ASPENMAMA:

How to I get directions to the Family Man potluck?

This sounds like it would be a great time. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend.

Literally! I don't think there was any wine left at the Library Pub after last Friday!

I'll be emailing directions to all and sundry when it gets closer to the date.
