How 'bout:

"Behind the Crooked Cross"
"Expendable Youth"
"War Ensemble"
"Exile"

---Slayer

No songs by Canadians. They can fuck up their own country. Bryan Adams, WTF and WhyTF?

Don't know how whoop-ass Bryan Adams is, or how he could compare the awsome spectacle of large greasy men grappliing and tossing each other about with fire and loud music and beer and girls in revealing clothing and Goldberg and motorcycles and yelling and sweat and rednecks and staged viloence and simple good \ bad guy drama.

And South Park was our answer to Bryan Adams.

You gotta take the whoo-hooo dumbass stuff with the overly intellectual stuff just to maintain some sort of mental balance in life. I know I read too much heavy shit; I need quick, violent, aggresive music to balance out. Or Chopin...

The Future, Leonard Cohen
...
Give me crack and anal sex
Take the only tree that's left
and stuff it up the hole
in your culture
Give me back the Berlin wall
give me Stalin and St Paul
I've seen the future, brother:
it is murder.

Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard, the blizzard of the world
has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned
the order of the soul
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
...
There'll be the breaking of the ancient
western code
Your private life will suddenly explode
There'll be phantoms
There'll be fires on the road
and the white man dancing
You'll see a woman
hanging upside down
her features covered by her fallen gown
and all the lousy little poets
coming round
tryin' to sound like Charlie Manson
and the white man dancin'
...
Give me back the Berlin wall
Give me Stalin and St Paul
Give me Christ
or give me Hiroshima

Rush, on the album Fly By Night, offers a nice little ditty that would server as a new nation anthem:

Beneath, Between, and Behind

Ten score years ago, defeat the kingly foe
A wondrous dream came into being
Tame the trackless waste, no virgin land left chaste
All shining eyes, but never seeing

Chorus
Beneath the noble bird
Between the proudest words
Behind the beauty, cracks appear
Once with heads held high
They sang out to the sky
Why do their shadows bow in fear?

Watch the cities rise
Another ship arrives
Earth's melting pot and ever growing
Fantastic dreams come true
Inventing something new
The greatest minds, and never knowing

Chorus

The guns replace the plow, facades are tarnished now
The principles have been betrayed
The dreams's gone stale, but still, let hope prevail
History's debt won't be repaid

Chorus

Default canadian eh?

ContraTheos
South park, like the Simpsons, has mostly canadian writers, so don't be too hasty. As for the WWE it glorifies glamour and stupidity and ignorance, drinking beer and sexism and violence, ideology and power and authority, music and politics and privilege. With an audience of millions of young children from 8 to 25 who are spoonfed the american dream each week (you know, violence, sex,big money) contributing to the thousands of scenes of senseless violence and death a child is exposed to before they're even teenagers. Simple good/bad guy drama indeed.
Bryan Adams is about as WHOO-Hoo as we Canucks want to get. It is a little less harmful than what you call entertainment. Oh yeah, hockey too, but it's over so we have to hibernate for the summer now. Too friggin' hot. Dont forget canadians created beavis and butthead, king of the hill and south park so we could appease youre simple need for revenge for 1812 and we let you think these are your ideas- that this is your unique creation.
Know the next line to the Whiskey bar tune. It's "O don't ask why" Nice anthem.
I also agree that we have to let loose, but choosing less harmful themes would probably be more beneficial to society. Or more Choppin'.

Yes , we're clones also, most of us. The so called omni-paleo conservative horde that occupies the majority position is alive and thriving on whatever we're fed , violence included.
How about the Owen Hart screw job.
I notice 2 more canadian singers as an anthem. At least I picked an american group.

Yeah, but the song is a cover of Kurt Weill's, a German composer hot during the '20s, original. So, no sense of superiority for you!

Didn't know that. Don't feel superior. I thought I was being kind for once to americans. Another foreigner tune that fits anywhere. Doors of perception are always moving.
