Default Wicca

Wicca is a lesser path to understanding; not as advanced as Christianity, but still valid, to an extent. It's certainly a beautiful faith, with much to teach the worthy seeker.

I mean, how can you profess a religion by merely responding to the need for religious gratification? Shouldn't you first investigate the level of truth of the religion that you are going to adhere? ?
And are you the one who is to show us what is truth Marcel? Please reveal it to us. We will contain our excitement.

I am curious as to why you think Wicca is a "lesser path to understanding" 111111. How much study have you put into Wicca? How much into Christianity?

I have now spent almost twenty in the study of Pagan paths including Wicca. I think you have too much faith in the advanced nature of Christianity and too little understanding of Wicca.

I will make a Wild-Ass Guess:
11111 is a Hermetic Magician or a Christian Mystic.

*cough*

I didn't address that post because it seems to be worthy of a thread in and of itself; how does one define "advanced"?

We can observe what is real.

God(s)ess(es)...even in fanciful form aren't part of the universe.

Guessing, pretending and making new ones up make no difference.

But, if it harm none, believe what you will...however, expect to be called on it at times as well...especially if it gets too nonsensical.

Science, rational thought and examination of the universe brings about a better understanding of life, love and understanding.

No deities required...though I am sure six ones will make One to fit it for us and convert it to Christianity at his earliest convenience.

Ronin....you still lack understanding of what I have been saying. God is no more a Christian God than He is a Hindu God or a Pagan Deity. He is above all such descriptors. However, as I have been saying from the begining, Christianity is the easiest path to God; hardly the only path. Wicca, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism: all are valid paths to the Source of All. I think God is vast enough to accommodate all seekers after His Truths.

What exactly makes Christianity the "easiest path to God"?

Christianity demands no special rituals beyond baptism; it has only one creed (believe in Christ's Godhood); and it's holy text holds the greatest accumulation of hidden wisdom the world has ever seen.

Calzaer, I understand many Wiccans do not want to face the facts that their own psuedo-Celtic faith is based on rites just as bloody as Jewish rites and rituals. Please, refrain from making assertions about Christianity that equally apply to your own religious roots.

Animal sacrifice, even human sacrifice, are hardly the province of Christianity and Judaism alone. Read your mythology again, Calzaer, and then we shall talk.
