Do you do volunteer work at the county jail or something?

My answer is a combination of what other people have said:

1) No compelling evidence that anything like a god exists.

2) Even if there were, no reason to choose Christianity over the thousands of other religions out there.

Nope – just know my maternal grandfather, father, brother, Godfather, clergy members, and the sperm donor. My father has gotten a lot better since divorcing my mother, cessation of alcohol abuse and about 10 years of therapy. My Godfather use to make comments about women being only good for two things – sex and cooking and pretty much treated every woman like a piece of shit. I am the only female in my family who ever stood up to the obnoxious prick. Shortly thereafter he stopped inviting me to their annual Christmas parties. Catholic Church – need I say more? You’ve read some of the nightmare I suffered with the sperm donor … sad, but true … my grandfather is a real trip – explosive expert who liked to drink a lot and had a special fondness for beating women and children – real FUN combination...

Thankfully, no more of that shit in my life – EVER! About the time I figured out men aren’t inherently shitty, was about the same time I started to shed my religious beliefs. The further I got away from that indoctrination, the stronger I became as a person, the better decisions I made as a woman and eventually had the smarts enough to marry one hell of a nice guy No abusive men or Gods in my life – I think I am cured

I know splorg, splorg is my friend, and let me tell you, Philosoft, SPORG EXISTS.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. You might as well just say "God exists."

Why do you choose not to accept xianity?
It discourages curiosity and condemns those who pursue knowledge.

Anyone wish to expand on their reasons? And especially if you have a reason even if God showed himself to you.
