According to James Rachels, no being could be considered worthy of worship.

Oh, and while I'm at it, eternity is a long fucking time. You know what I'm going to be doing with that time? Finding a way to either a) kill god, b) rebel against god, or c) force god to make me no longer exist. Remember Azrael, in Dogma? that'll be me: God must be held responsible for its actions (note that destroying everything would not be my preferred method of doing so).
And what if you fail all 3 scenarios? If we are talking about the Christian God, a) He is immortal and its 100% impossible to kill Him or for Him to even die for that matter, b) you won't be able to escape the lake of Fire, so not sure how you'd rebel - and then again - look how successful Lucifer was and c) God wouldn't cave in to your demands - you don't force God to do didly squat - you are in Hell serving an eternal sentence, no making demands.

Maybe they think that God only pays extra special attention at church, and he might be napping the rest of the time.
Not sure what Christians you hang around, but that is the dumbest and most ignorant stereotype of Christians i've yet to hear.

I don’t have to be scared of hell because I know my hope of my future is in Jesus. I am assured of my salvation. I don’t mouth empty words on Sunday then act like He doesn’t exist. I try to honor God with my actions every day. Yes I have frequent moments of failure. Like all Christians, I still sin. But even then, I know I am forgiven for my sins by His sacrifice. I can’t hide from God, and there are times when I am ashamed of myself before God, but I know I am saved by my belief in Jesus and the promise of God’s grace.

I'd like to thank my God for this award for "fundi-ism"...

Oh sorry. I have a warped sense of humor.

Yes I am serious about my beliefs. I am a born again Christian, although I never thought of myself as a "fundie".

Which is the deplorable aspect of Christianity - an evasion of responsibility. No matter what you do, you get forgiven, which allows you to do those acts again, because there's no fear of punishment from your chosen deity.

There is no evasion of responsibility. I don't need the threat of punishment to make me behave myself. I do it out of love for the Lord, and because the bible tells me to do so. If that weren't enough, the Holy Spirit won't let me either. Being a Christian means changing a lifestyle from sinner to trying to emulate Christ. We recognize that we will fall short, but we keep trying.

I have seen horrible things too winstonjen, things most people have never seen and I pray never do. They have drawn me closer to God, not further away. (I am not talking about visions or anything mystical like that.) I have seen true healing, God's hand relieving misery and suffering.

Romans 6
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Romans 6
15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

1 John 3
2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
4Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

1 John 5
18We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.

If they (Christians) are wrong that does not mean God does not exist , and He does not deserve to be worshiped .

think about it this way .

you are angry , and cofused just because some Christians did not have a logical answers to your (our) questions

God is Justice and mercy I don`t think he will punish anyone in hell
I think that his Hell will be empty and his paradise will be full of people like you .

God bless you
