So what was the point of your list?

One of the strange things about these kinds of posters is how nasty they are. Their faith seems to be some kind of free pass for acting offensively.

As I pointed out earlier, the list was in response to a statement questioning
the veracity of a previously posted quote. Posting the list, instead of providing
a reference (Like No Robots did) for the previous quote struck me....strange.

Like agnosticism!
Agnosticism actually is a belief. It's a belief that the existence/non-existence of God is unprovable. It's not a position on the existence of God, but on the evidence for God. Agnosticism is often mistakenly conflated with weak atheism (a lack of theistic belief, but without a positive belief in non-existence), but they aren't the same thing. In fact, agnosticism is not incompatible with either theism or atheism.

That's a sub-division of agnosticism.

.................................................. ............

William of Occam was condemned as a heretic in 1326. He was considered a nominalist or conceptualist when it came to Plato's universals. This was in direct opposition to Christians like Saint Augustine who regarded them as real. His denial of supernatural explanations as the best explanations helped to lead to empiricism and modern science.
William_of_Ockham held a strong view of the authority of the Bible. His disbelief in the possibilty of discovering spiritual truth by the unaided human intellect combined with his more-or-less orthodox Christianity required him to place a strong emphasis on divine revelation.

The criticisms of some of Ockham's philosophical positions in 1326 or 1327 apparently did not lead to his condemnation as a heretic. However he was later excommunicated for denouncing John XXII as a false pope.

Agnosticism doesn't have subsets. That's how Thomas Huxley (the coiner of the word) defined it.
