I just finished programming a backend ordering processing system. Used to be that it was all done by hand. This has no real visible effect to the end user, unless he or she orders, in which case he or she will notice better communications and more quick and reliable shipment. It will also save time for my sister, who does fulfillment.
The ETA for the Early Christian Writings 2.0 CD-ROM is 1/15/06. Those who have already ordered the previous version will enjoy a substantial discount. The Early Jewish Writings CD is hoped to get out in January also, but is less definite since there are more factors. (The major factor impeding ECW 2.0 is the arrival of a CD duplicator, and only a bit more tweaking to the site.) I will look into centering the page (on larger screens) soon. I got a very helpful email (mentioned above). I look forward to more feedback. thanks, Peter Kirby |

Well, as is typical, software dates get pushed forward. Sorry.
ECW 1.9 is out for now. The CD has been updated to reflect the current website. Data about the CD has been uploaded, along with a picture of what one looks like (they look nice). My sister no longer helps me with fulfilling orders for the CD; she wasn't reliable enough. There are some obvious fixes (search, the chronological neighbor dropdowns, graphical frame for the document text files) that need to be made before 2.0 is achieved. EJW is being pushed forward to "over the next three months". On another note, the semester has started at Fresno State, and I like 4 out of 5 classes! regards, Peter Kirby |
