he said he had no family, not anything bad about his mom. And both (I think Mark) and the gnostics talk about being in a state of androgynous being like before the fall. If you disbelievers want proof of the Mark verse. I'll find it. Just give me time.

Yes Albert, the world is going to hell in a handcart, and the Catholic Church is the only thing that can save us. Where do I sign up? For the record, the prison population has doubled since 1985. Is it because of the 'Meltdown' you describe? No. It's your Christian 'War on Drugs', with it's mandatory minimum sentences. Get a clue. As far was women being further down on the social ladder, and thus being less able to influence change, that is absolutely true. Why is the pope a man? Why can no women be the pope? How about the avowed sexism in your own theology? (Re: No women priests, no women in any relavant position of authority) Remove the plank from thine own eye. Finally, you destroy any credibility you had by claiming the 13th century was the golden age of civilization. Are you kidding? Infant death, disease, religious control (which you espouse as 'good') war and fear. Ah yes, paradise. Your true Roman Catholic colors are bleeing through. Ty |

War and fear?! Name me a single war of the 13th century. By contrast, the 20th century was one continuous war. And as far as fear, goes, well, let’s just say that it goes everywhere the nuclear missiles are targeted to go, which is everywhere. At least Christendom could run away into the forests away from the Huns and Mongols. Now the only place to hide is on another planet. – Albert the Traditional Catholic |

The catholic church has fought tooth and nail since the dark ages to stifle any and all scientific progress, whether it be astronomy. biology, medicine physics etc. The muslim world on the other hand has been responsible for many advancements in science and mathematics over the last thousand years. You, Albert need to research the history of your own religion before you start making outrageous claims like that one. Pete "There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages." Richard Lederer "During many ages there were witches. The Bible said so. The Bible commanded that they should not be allowed to live. Therefore the Church, after doing its duty in but a lazy and indolent way for 800 years, gathered up its halters, thumbscrews, and firebrands, and set about its holy work in earnest. She worked hard at it night and day during nine centuries and imprisoned, tortured, hanged, and burned whole hordes and armies of witches, and washed the Christian world clean with their foul blood. Then it was discovered that there was no such thing as witches, and never had been. One does not know whether to laugh or to cry." ..........Mark Twain |

For the same reason that Jesus was a man and God inspired only men to record His word and be His priests and refer to Him as a Him and not as a Her or an It.
So you are saying that no woman can ever be a pope or even a priest because both Jesus and the twelve apostles were men. I have heard this so many times that am getting bored. Try substituting "of a Jewish descent" for "man" (and, of course, "non-Jewish" for "woman"); does your original statement make any more sense? Furthermore, there is considerable evidence that women priests did exist in the early Christian church. Mike Rosoft |

The average sentence for a first time, non-violent drug offender is longer than the average sentence for rape, child molestation, bank robbery or manslaughter. (4) The RAND Corporation states "Though it is too early to make a final judgment, RAND found that three strikes and truth-in-sentencing laws have had little significant impact on crime and arrest rates. According to the Uniform Crime Reports, states with neither a three strikes nor a truth-in-sentencing law had the lowest rates of index crimes, whereas index crime rates were highest in states with both types of get-tough laws." And, for the record, the nuclear proliferation in this country owes much of it's current exsistance to your wonderful Christian president and the ones that came before him. They built all those nukes. Why? To kill Commies. Because they're all atheist bastards who eat babies. Disgusted, Ty, the Traditional Atheist |
