Default the devil made me do it

I was wondering about the Bible and and what it said about the devil. I have not studied the Bible that much to know anything about this fictitious creature and whether he has a pitch fork and is prodding the atheists in the ass. Seriously do you think the Christians think that the atheists are getting their intelligence :devil1: from a devil. Isn't he supposed to be very intelligent and deceiving? :devil1: I dont seem to know to how to put those little icon things on heie.

Yeah, that's what i don't get. Why would if God sends sinners to hell. Why would satan go along with gods plan and punish them?. It doesn't make sense, you would think he would recruit them into his army or something not do exactly what god wants him to do.

But then again, its not suppose to make sense because its all bullshit.

Yes but he also has a tail so we can see him coming and going. We like him to come and make hay with us and when he is done we send him home and keep the fruits of his labor.

No he is not prodding atheist who are just watching the show.

Start here: Satan: an early history. You can find more by using the search function on this forum, such as this recent thread on Why Satan is not the serpent.

The earliest Hebrew scriptures have no concept of Satan. Satan seems to be derived from Persian thought.

The pitchfork is modern imagery.
