While origination of Zealots in Galilee is within mainstream scholarships, anyone who opposed Roman oppression would be labeled as such. I find no reason to place them all in one geographic location.

Who is calling who a Zealot, is more important.

Who states he was?

And why would these authors know?

Fact is that Mark nor the zealots knew what crucifixion is all about.
What kind of boloney is this? Romans factually crucified the hell out of the Jews. So now the question to be asked is "when" are you talking about.

Zealots were no stranger to Roman punishment, and Mark who? he author has no real historicity.

The zealots were the born again Jews in those days or do you think that Jesus has anything to do with that? You don't really, do you?

And I know they did because they all claimed to be a messiah and had the urge to preach, with Pillate as the inquisitor. Same old story.

Mark's Jesus, yes, the brother of the one who went to heaven in Luke and John.
