Maybe it's just hard to describe someone you never met? |

A slightly silly example I know Actually if you really read the New Testament there are a lot of things that are unclear about Jesus ,now I am not saying that you could say he was in fact married, but the theme of the NT is about his ministry alone ,once you get past the miraculous birth which is of course essential for the tale and very very few personal details emerge. |

btw...
25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. [a] Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel was lovely in form, and beautiful. Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are the pools of Heshbon by the gate of Bath Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus. ...and some nose that must have been! |

I thought one of the predictors that Jesus supposedly filled also had the caveat that the person would be unnattractive and I'm surprised that Matthew did fit Jesus in some way to that. Also I've heard Jews who believe in a future messiah believe he will be red-headed.
It's interesting that neither side is mentioned. A 33 year old religious figure that wasn't married would not be taken seriously since rabbis would be married and probably considered gay. But there wasn't one casually reference to his wife doing anything or Paul trying to meet her. Mike |

The Mormons, however, seemed quite pleased with The Da Vinici Code.

What is mentioned in the Bible is "men in white in the town" that would help them with a place to live and food? That could be local Essenes but why do they not mention they are Essenes? Was it supposed to be a secret. Jesus talked about secret teaching. Could that be the Essenes part? |
