So, bottom line I guess is that it is good advertising if they do get studies to back it up. And, of course, it is good to have studies! |

I read an article (not an ad) in Discover magazine a few years ago about Dr. Bruce Ames' studies. The article (which is on his site, I think) said that he was independently wealthy from some bio-tech stocks he held; that he had done the experiments and had patented the particular combination of nutrients that worked for the rats.
Since I am in my late 50's, I was interested, and I decided to try it - I figured if I waited for the clinical trials, I would be too old for it to do any good. I immediately noticed some good results (anecdotal evidence only, I know), and I have kept on taking the stuff. I don't buy it from Juvenon - I buy the two ingredients separately, and I take a higher dose of alpha lipoic acid. I also take a bunch of other supplements, watch my diet, and get a lot of exercise. I don't want to go into details, but I feel much younger now than I did 20 years ago, when I felt like my youth was slipping away. I suspect the biggest factor is that I gave up on vegetarianism and now eat red meat. But I think that the supplements help. Your mileage may vary. |
