Someone I know said that "love the sinner, hate the sin" are words that are found in scripture.

Does anyone know where in the bible these words or similar can be found?

You can probably interpret some Bible verses creatively to come up with that thought, but those words are not in the Bible.

It is a modern feel-good Christian slogan to fit a modern humanistic philosophy. Of course it isn't in the Bible. God hardly ever holds back his blistering hatred for almost everyone.

No, it isn't biblical. Quite right.

So whenever we encounter an atheist, let's be clear that we hate the little cheating lying self-serving scumbag, because that's what he will be, even if we haven't met him before. None of this shilly-shally nonsense. Tell it like it is.

We should hate all sinners anyway, even if their sin is theoretical or abstract -- rather like intending to cheat on your tax return, but being too scared to do so. They're equally guilty. You know this is so. And if you don't, you soon will.

This may seem harsh, I agree -- I'm a tolerant man, apart from things I don't think should be tolerated --, but remember that he didn't HAVE to become an atheist. That was his personal choice. And he should take responsibility for it. And suffer for it.

Because otherwise atheism goes without punishment. How do you punish an ideology? Get it published by Prometheus Press, or something? Get it endorsed by Bart Ehrman? People will laugh, yes, but it doesn't feel pain. In the end you're achieving nothing. It's hard to do over an ideology; instead we should target its representatives.

So while I hate his atheism -- easy enough -- it will be his undersized balls that my boot connects with, his pimply ignorant face that my fist deforms, his fat idle backside that my foot lifts off the seat. The path of virtue is hard; the path of enforcing virtue is rather easier, ... and much more fun!

It's harsh, but it's the only way. It's the only message they understand. Trust me. Cut their goolies right off. You can only kick a paperback copy of Dawkins a few times before it falls apart, and before you feel a bit foolish. It's just the way things have to be. There's no point whining about it.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing in, as they used to say at my old school.

Of course wimpy atheists complain about being punished. Proper punishment can be difficult to get done these days. You have to pay quite a lot of money for that these days. Ask Max Mosley.

Every christian has sinned and they keep on doing so each day - so we hate them too.
The bible is garbage and you can almost prove anything from it mate - just go talk to the christadelphians, the baptists, the worldwide church of god, the assemblies of god, the mormons, the catholics, the church of england, the lutherans, the calvanists etc etc etc etc etc etc.
Whilst you may be talking toungue in cheek there are many who see it literally and see athiests as from satan - ridiculous but there ya go.

Glad that you agree that tolerance consists of tolerating only the things you agree with. Anyone who holds views you disagree with should be flogged to death, of course. That'll teach them to be intolerant of things we approve of.
