This will probably be a short thread. I often see this and I have no clue what it means. Can someone explain, please?

Imagine someone yelling out in celebration "Woooooooooot!!!!" At least that's what I think it means. When spelled with zeroes, I guess you can just think of that as computer nerd for "Yeehah!"

its some bullshit term of exclamation that's been trendy-ized with the 00's instead of oo's. "cool" high-schoolers that use myspace.com like to say it a lot. caught on big after carson daily claimed that punk and emo were cool. it can be used in almost any situation where you're happy, excited, laughing, etc. often accompanied by some dumb face like

or ^__^.

can you tell i hate the trends that arose after i left high school?

w00t is like "yay", or "hell yeah!", depending on context.

"WORD" is like "cool".

It is also a very common exclamation when playing an online role playing game and you recieve some phat loot.
