Most girls in that area probably squeezed their first one out at nine, so... no big deal. Mary, much like Jesus, had they truly existed, would've suffered far less than the average Palestinian Jew.

Nine!?
Is that even possible? Surely a girl can't get pregnant till her periods have started, which, IIRC, doesn't usually happen until the ages of 11-13.

Yep it was the Holy Ghost who knocked her up. I wonder if there's an apocryphal gospel in which she describes it : And lo, I didst see the Holy Ghost. It wast long, hard, pink and hairy and broughtest me the joy of our Lord...

More seriously, she may have been raped in the countryside. According to the Bible, this is the only situation in which she could have a child with a man other than her husband without being stoned to death.

It is rare, but there are girls who have children at age nine.

Nine would never be a common age though.

The common age to start having children according to the Catholic Church, for "women" in that time and place, was age 13, and this is partly how they say that she would have been 12. According to the Church, the Jewish custom at that time and place was for all girls to be married off at age 13. There are supposdly some other things mentioned in the Bible about traditional custims that are done at certian ages that indicate that she would have been 12 years old because she had not yet done some things that she would have done by the time she was 13.

Or Jesus did exist like the Bible describes. There are more than just your possibilites.

Yeah, but there's "possible", and then there's "probable", and this religious stuff never seems to bridge the gap.

(The Virgin Birth as a coverup of an illegitimate pregnancy...)

A possibility we find as convincing as the numerous pagan stories of divine impregnations.

Not just mythical figures, but also historical ones like Pythagoras, Plato, and Alexander the Great.

Or Jesus did exist like the Quran describes. There is more than just your holy book.

Default Once again...

i call attention to my one=page paper of 1996, now on-line, entitled
*CONGRATULATIONS HE'S A GIRL" also known as *Smith's Crowbar*, in which I argue from contemporary Biology that if the RC dogma of the Virgin conception and Birth of Jesus from a never-impregnated human virgin WERE a true fact (which The Church will surely never relinquish).....
then Their Lord has to have been a FEMALE; because, never having had a human biological MALE Father, "he" cannot have had a MALE Y chromosome
(the only source of which is a human male's biological human father).

You can find my paper by searching "google" by the title.

Sorry, Abe Smith, I couldn't find it. Could you give us the exact words that you use in the search text field?
