earlyjewishwritings is back, with a prominent link to the late Ebla forum. (This must be a very early version?)

For now you can just throw http://www.earlychristianwritings.com into http://www.archive.org/ and find it's all still there.

I drilled down into the Feb 12 2008 snapshot and read some Martyrdom of Polycarp documents just to make sure.

For good or for worse, nothing really disappears on the Internet.

oops, didn't read the 2nd page. nevermind.

I am still getting a generic index page at Early Christian Writings; is this true for everybody? Early Jewish Writings seems to be okay (as someone else noted).

I think I am starting to go into e-Catena withdrawal.

Try e-catena
It seems to work for the moment.

Thanks, Andrew.

I usually access the e-Catena from my own text pages, which I have set up to link to each separate chapter of the actual site. This will have to do for now, until ECW is back up and running.

Dear Peter (if you're still reading this thread),

Sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been having. Whatever you're doing in the future, I wish you the best of luck.

And, of course, your websites should be available again, for all the masses who loved them and benefited from them (including myself).

Something tells me you'll come back to biblical studies again, when you're ready!

Best wishes,

Yuri.

Default a more sustainable hosting solution

I suggest a more sustainable long term solution for hosting html page/s of links would for a it/them to be placed on http://docs.google.com/ -- This might mean in some cases a loss of nice colourful presentation, but public interest and the more certain sustainability of the site would make up for that.

Wonderful!

I was not looking forward to eliminating all the dead ECW links on my site.
